About us

Our team in Hamar consists of over 40 people in addition to our colleagues on Stasjonen – Lillehammer Hostel.

Our hotel and hostel cosists of a main building with apartments in addition to two buildings with single and double rooms. The reception is located in the main building, where you can also find the dining area. All rooms and apartments have their own exterior doors. We have a big parking lot, as well as four EV charging stations.

Vikingskipet Hostel was opened in 1993, and offered construction workers a place to stay while building the Viking Ship before the Olympic Games in 1994. Now, almost 30 years later, our main group of guests are still construction workers! We have a lot of different people visiting us, both elite athletes, pilgrims, guests on vacation and many more. After the Olympics in ’94, the place was run as a hostel without breakfast. That was until 1998, when Ole Røhnebæk and Ann Kristin Konradsen took over the business. In 2002, Geir Evensen joined in too! We have later refurbished a couple of the rooms and the apartments. Today, we are still running the hostel, in addition to starting the hotel with double rooms and apartments.
